- You're staying in Uluwatu, Bukit, or Nusa Dua already
The honest local recommendation
If you have two days, do both — with Uluwatu on the day you arrive (short, low effort, high impact) and Ubud on a full day mid-trip.
If you truly only have one, pick Ubud in the wet season (Uluwatu's sunset is unreliable when it's overcast) and Uluwatu in the dry season (the sunset delivers 90% of the time).
