Three of Bali's most iconic landmarks, each one dramatically different from the last. Tanah Lot is a sea temple set on a black rock formation beaten by the waves — one of the most photographed places in Southeast Asia. The Bedugul highlands, two hours north, feel like a different world entirely: cool, misty, and lush, draped around the calm surface of Lake Beratan.
Our journey takes in all three: the coastal drama of Tanah Lot, the floating elegance of Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on the lake, and finally the vast green sweep of Jatiluwih — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape where traditional Balinese subak rice terraces carved into the hillsides stretch as far as the eye can see.

Tanah Lot Temple
Visit the sacred sea temple perched on a dramatic offshore rock. Explore the coastal grounds and, if the tide is low, walk across to the rock base. The views of the temple against the crashing ocean are magnificent.
Drive to the Bedugul Highlands
Head north into the mountains — the temperature drops and the scenery shifts to lush highland forest. The drive itself is beautiful.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple
Walk the shores of Lake Beratan and admire the iconic multi-tiered pagodas of Ulun Danu, which appear to float on the water when the lake is calm. A holy temple dedicated to the Goddess of Water.
Lunch in Bedugul
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with cool highland air (own expense).
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces (UNESCO)
Walk or drive through the sweeping terraced landscape of Jatiluwih — a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012. The terraces stretch across 600 hectares of mountainside, shaped by centuries of traditional Balinese farming.
Return to Hotel
